Okay, I’m a big sucker for party foods – especially trays of party meat, cheese and crackers. So, of course, when charcuterie boards started being a fad and a craze to go overboard with the presentation, I was all in.
I just didn’t want to wait for there to be a party before I could enjoy it. So, I figured I could make it just for me, all I had to do was downsize and I get to the whole board myself! High-five me!!
So – here is what I did to make my very own dinner Charcuterie board and it was every bit of happiness that I hoped it would be.
How To Make A Personal Charcuterie Plate
For my charcuterie plates, I used different types of cheese, jams, meats, breads or crackers, fruits and nuts.
It’s really about using items YOU love but in a smaller snack like portion.
Here is an example of one that I do often.
Cheeses:
Here in Wisconsin, cheese is just a staple in anything we make and this is a great way to share and try out new options.
- Cream cheese
- Havarti
Meats:
- Hard salami
- Prosciutto (my favorite)
- Coppa/Capicola
- Pepperoni (not on the plate shown, I guess I ate it first? hahaha)
- Genoa Salami is another great addition, but I didn’t have any this time
Breads & Crackers:
- Pita half cut in little bite-sized pieces
Fruit & Jams:
- Dried Apricot
- Apricot Jam
- Raspberry Jam
- Dried cranberries
Nuts & Chocolates:
- Walnuts
- Dark chocolate bar broken in pieces
~~ And as always friends, take care, be kind to yourself and others, and always keep learning to be better and do better.
